Senior Spotlight- Luis Nolasco

“Stay true to yourself, the most important thing in life is loving oneself.”

Hobbies, Interests, and Passions

  • I am a dual sport student-athlete that plays football and runs track. I really enjoy being outdoors and going fishing. Everything I do is to make my mom proud since she is my best friend and the shoulder I can lean on when I need it the most. I’m a funny and caring person with a goofy personality. I’m very passionate about sports and academics because I feel that there are lots of life changing opportunities that come with them.

Extracurricular activities/Clubs

  • During high school I have been involved with playing on the football team and being named team captain, running track, being apart of ASB student leadership, as well as being secretary for the Drama Club my junior year.

Leadership Positions

  • I have held the positions of being senior class secretary and a commissioner of rallies.

Memorable Events from High School

  • There are many memorable high school experiences but the best one would have to be making the section playoffs for football my junior year. That team was loaded with lots of talent and I’d do anything to just play one more game with them.

Plans After High School

  • After high school I plan on going to college to continue playing college football and live out my dreams of playing at the next level and earning my degree to make my mom proud. I want to create my own business and have a successful career in real estate.

College/University & Study

  • I will be attending Simpson University in Redding, California in the fall. I plan on earning a degree in business.

Most Rewarding Aspect of High School

  • The most rewarding aspect of my high school experience would have to be seeing the impact I made on the younger generation of student-athletes as well as on the school. Being able to be a mentor to those who look up to me is something that I will cherish forever.

Advice for Underclassmen

  • Advice I have for underclassmen would have to be to just stay true to yourself and chase your dreams and passions. Never let anybody tell you that you can’t do something and outwork everyone that’s around you. Do something different that will separate you from the crowd and allow you to make an impact on the lives of others.
