Why I joined journalism and what it means to me: I joined Journalism because I want to be involved. I think it means initiative because it’s just not for class time. It has to be your time and all I’ve done with my “free time” is hang back and do nothing. I think Journalism will bring me out of my circle to not be scared when meeting new people. Getting to know their story and their background. Having a talk with them about their goals or a reason to why they do what they do. It’s confusing for me to be on staff because I know that the other members have taken Journalism 1-2 and I’m from video production and then onto staff. I want to prove to them that I’m just not here because I was suggested for video. I want to show that I can do just as much or about as much that I know what and why I am on staff along with them.
Goals on staff and after high school: My goals on staff is to help and get help to produce the best video I can for Stagg’s online page. My goals after high school are to be financially stable. Pursue in a math degree because I also love math. But that’s not a fun fact.
