As the 2023-2024 Winter Sport season starts to conclude and the transition to the spring season begins, the overall state of Stagg sports ¨went pretty well¨ according to Athletic Director Hung Nguyen.
Each sport consisted of a diverse mix of Freshman to Seniors, and female and male athletes. Here is a deeper dive within each sport that shares words from the coaches, student athlete players, and the overall statistics from each individual sport.
Collectively, the 2023 winter sport season comes to a wrap on a positive note. Nguyen expressed his interest in seeing more student athletes participate in future winter sport seasons. In comparison to last seasons, grades and injuries were the main culprit for less student participation. “I would hope to see more students involved in winter sports and to maintain grades while participating in sports,” Nguyen said.
