StocktonCon is an event that is held every year in the Downtown Arena and was held this year in 2024. The tickets at the counter were $23 for one day and for two days it was $33. It was pretty easy to get in but they do have you go through metal detectors and security checks.
Once inside, the things I saw there were many cosplayers and art pieces. At the event I saw famous actors and celebrities such as Tom Kenny, the voice actor for Spongebob, David Vincent, the English voice actor for Nanami from Jujutsu Kaisen, a popular YouTuber named Odin Makes, and many more celebrities and actors. For Makes, we got to talk to him  about his various models and designs he has done and even got to shake his hand. It was pretty nice to talk to him and he was a cool, chill person.

For the other celebrities like Jamie Marchi and Charlotte Flair, we got to have a small chat with them and ask them their opinions on the event. All of which were positive answers, saying that it’s a nice event to just go to and hang out with people but if you  wanted them to say certain lines like, ¨Is mayonnaise an instrument?¨, any funny lines you can think of or sign stuff then you have to pay the actors and celebrities. Most of the lines for the celebrities were really long, especially the one for Kenny considering

how famous and well known he is but overall the actors and celebrities were nice and respectful when talking to them. I was glad and happy to meet them and that I got to talk to those famous celebrities.

Another thing to add on was that I got to take pictures with multiple cosplayers and talk to them a little. There were many things to browse and buy so instead of just walking around all day, you could buy stuff like figures, props, comics, art, stickers, sit down and get some food and drinks if you´re really hungry or thirsty. But really people are there for the entertainment, the art, the cosplays, the actors, celebrities, and to have a good experience and time. In addition there was a little area with arcade machines, pinball machines, claw machines and a little area for you to draw and play card games such as Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and many more.

After the fun day, we eventually went home. I really wished that I could´ve stayed more and talked and caught up with my cousins and enjoyed the event but, fun things must come to an end. Overall I had a really great time both at the event and hanging out with my friends and family.

So if you´re ever interested in any comics, art, celebrities, cosplays, shows or animations come check out StocktonCon in the Downtown Arena. The next one will be held this year, July 13th – 14th and the same time from 11AM – 5PM. The prices for tickets are unknown for the upcoming event. If you do go, then I hope you have as great of a time as I did.
