College fair enlightens students for college and careers

The east hallway was filled with students Thursday night to attend the College Fair. Many representatives from different colleges came to speak with juniors and seniors. It was a great opportunity for students to interact with them to have a general sense of what each college provides, and for students to think of careers they would like to pursue.

In the theatre seniors who signed up for Passport to College had to attend a mandatory meeting. They were also informed of financial aid, FAFSA, and deadlines for their application.

Students were able to obtain information about different programs offered at each college. They had time to speak with representatives from different colleges or universities across the state.

Students and parents were gathered around the Marines, Army and Air Force tables where the representatives challenged students to do pushups for prizes, like t shirts, water bottles, and caps. Not only was it a simple show, but it was for students to understand that one has to be dedicated to their future — both physically and mentally.
