Sophomore beats world record
When science teacher Marcus Sherman saw that the world record for the most pencils in someone’s hair was only 136, he knew that he could beat it. And when he convinced Jonathan Phillips to attempt to break it, they gathered as many pencils as they could and started planning. On Friday at lunch the record was broken at 167 pencils. The only reason they stopped there?
They ran out of pencils.
Sherman hopes to get in contact with the Guinness Book of World Records to get their name officially in the book or online.
