Couponing doesn’t have to be difficult. It can be as easy as 1, 2, 3!

When watching TLC’s “Extreme Couponing,” one can only think one of two things.

1. How do they do that?! or 2. Who needs that much gatorade?!

Let’s get one thing straight. The title is “Extreme Couponing” for a reason. The shopping trips showcased are extreme. There is no way that anyone can go from a regular shopper to an extreme couponer in a matter of one or two shopping trips.

However, it is easy to stock up on a few items, and for cheap!

We are here to tell you that it is possible. Many fear having stockpiles of brands you will never use, but with Thanksgiving just around the corner, you donate those items to those less fortunate.

Now, we aren’t going to write you a “guide” to couponing, because everyone has different methods. However, we will give you a list of some key websites to get you started. The websites are in no particular order.

1. http://thekrazycouponlady.com/beginners/ – Here you can access a guide for beginners, that shows how you can become a “Krazy Coupon Lady” in only 10 days (don’t worry, men, you can coupon too).

2. http://www.coupons.com/ – Okay, one thing you should know is the three classifications of coupons. There are two major types of coupons. Manufacture and store. A store coupon is only usable at a certain store, and if the store’s policy allows it, can be combined with a manufacture coupon. Manufacture coupons are produced by a certain brand, for instance, Kleenex. This website has a mixture of the two, but most of them are manufacturer coupons. These are printable, and very useful, but should be paired with coupons found in a newspaper insert.

3. http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/misc?url=/static/premiumContent/initialOffer.html – If you are going to be a serious couponer and don’t already subscribe to the paper, you should be looking at the prices and buying a monthly subscription. This is Stockton based, so we have included a link to subscribe to The Record.

4. http://www.grocerysmarts.com/california_northern/lists/splashsacbee.php – This is by far one of the best, and easiest to use, coupon databases out there. You can search by store, and find the best deals to match with the coupons that are currently out there. You can also plan a shopping trip on the website, and print out the list with the accurate prices and take it to the store with you.

5. http://www.thewallyworldwoman.com/ – For those of you that prefer to shop only at one store, you can find websites that are specified to your place of choice. This one specific to Walmart, gives you the latest sells, printable coupons, and price matches. Why spend hours flipping through ads trying to find deals and matching up coupons, when this website does it all for you.
