MESA Day readiness
March 8, 2013
Every year, MESA participates in competitions where they put their building skills to the test. This year, they are mixing things up a little.
One of the national competitions involves constructing a prosthetic arm. Made out of various hardware tools, each arm has to perform three tasks: toss a ball into buckets at certain distances, pick up a wrench and screw in a bolt, and pick up items of different weights and consistencies. The teams hope to pass the preliminary round, move on to regionals and ultimately defend their national championship.
With MESA Day just around the corner, the different teams are working on projects to showcase on the March 17th deadline. Check back online for a video showing the different projects!
