Top of the notch tennis courts is what Stagg has ordered and it’s what they shall receive. Of course nothing but the best for the new facilities to come. Expected to be available to students in November, the construction is said to be running smoothly. Day by day, the swimming pool is getting closer to be completed while the tennis courts are awaiting the finishing touches.

Construction worker Robert Hall said, “There is a lot to do, but it will get done faster than I think.” Being that his skilled trade is tennis and basketball courts, Hall notes that this court is beautiful, even though it doesn’t resemble many of the U.S. Open replicas that he has done before using blue and green paint.

After months of borrowing the Delta College tennis courts for practice and games, Stagg tennis players are excited to start on their new home court.

“I can’t wait to play on them,” senior Rajada Ealey said. “The long wait is well worth it!”
