Many seniors here at Stagg are planning to graduate high school. They are doing all they can in order to graduate from getting good grades, passing their classes, and even having a 7th period class. Although they are in a hurry to graduate, they still don’t know what they want to do after high school.
Some students know they want to attend college but they don’t know where to go. Others just know what they want to study.
Seniors are getting frustrated because they know that they will be graduating soon and they are still indecisive about their future. Every second, minute, and day is passing by and it’s just getting closer to graduation. But what about their future?
Senior Claudia Vargas said, “all I know is that I want to become a medical assistant. I don’t know what college I’m going to but I really want to go to UC Santa Barbara.” Vargas knows what she wants to be but mentions that it is hard to decide where she is going because school is just too expensive. Many students are debating between college expenses. They know exactly what they want but the cost prevents them.
On the other hand, Senior Toni Cooper has a different opinion. “For sure I will be attending Delta. It’s cheaper and closer to home but yet I still don’t know what I want to study.” Others like Cooper agree with her because Delta is cheaper than other schools especially if students did not get any scholarships.
Graduation is just a couple months away and it’s the seniors’ responsibility to take advantage of it. If they want to attend college, they should decide what they want to study. If they only know what they want to study, they should decide what college to go to. By taking a moment to think about this, everything will be easier in deciding your future.

Being indecisive about your future is normal. There are so many choices out there, that hastily picking one will do little good. Just keep an open mind at all times, and you’ll find your passion soon. It took me awhile to realize that I want to work with computers for the rest of my life. Build them, fix them, and everything about that. I might work at Nvidia or Intel, if I’m allowed to. That would be an honour out right. But still, you have the rest of your life to find what you love to do, and you don’t need to rush to find something. Just be patient.
