Senior Miranda Miner plays volleyball, basketball, and soccer. This year she plans to also run track while maintaining a 3.1 grade-point average.

“Playing sports motivates me to keep my grades up.” Her favorite sport to play is basketball where she is one of the key players and point guard.

In volleyball she was the captain and played middle. She also played forward in soccer.

Miner said she had to always be positive and encourage her team.

She has played almost all sports offered at Stagg throughout her high school career including playing badminton her freshmen year.

One of her fondest memories was being apart of the last years girls basketball team last year.

“I remember when we went to playoffs for basketball,” Miner recollects. “The girls were excited.” Going to the playoffs, Miner said, made her feel accomplished, like her hard work finally paid off.

Although the uniform, the team, the place, and the skills are different from sport to sport. Miner always brings the same upbeat personality and mentality to have fun.
