Too Much Technology?
Do you know what the most used equipment in our lives are? It’s called technology. Today’s world is living in techno era, where we use advance equipment to satisfy our desires. We use the equipment in the many different business fields. The technology industry is everywhere around us, from a rocket ship to a lawn mower. Across the world, people communicate with it either through texting, messaging, emailing and calling. The world’s industries have been in a competitive race to meet the consumers’ needs and to come out with the most popular trend but with all, even some new features.
One of technologies most used items are television, think of how much time you spend on it. There are a lot of things you can do. Some examples are hang-out with friends, go outside to the park, and walk around. There are so much other things to do. Schedule time to go places, join a sport, and maybe meet new people, the world is full of activities. Videogames are today’s trend at home, from mortal combat to sport games. These games are competitive, which today’s world are interested in.
Stagg’s most popular trend is the cell phones. They come in different sizes, shapes, and companies. We text, send emails, and listen to music on our phones. Some teenagers can’t seem to put the phone down and talk to someone face to face. Example of someone, a girl who wakes up in the morning sends her first text, saying good morning. Nothing’s wrong with that. Then she gets a text message from a friend, and they keep sending text messages back and forth. They go on texting back and forth even in class, at break, more classes, after school, at home, during homework, even at the dinner table. During that time, whether she was texting, talking, or emailing on the phone. Think about how much time you are on the phone. Business’s even have their employees with cell phones or computers that are wireless. Ask yourself do you depend on technology a little too much?

Hmmm. I’m going to have to disagree here.
Too much technology isn’t a bad thing at all. I actively use my computer, cell phone, gaming devices, and my iPod every day. They make our lives better. They’re convenient. But then again, I know that limitations are important. From personal experience, I have to activate a program I coded myself which disables video games from being run whenever I do homework. I’ve spent countless hours fishing sharks or slaying dragons on RuneScape than writing the essay I was supposed to. By mistake, too. So now, I don’t trust myself.
I can see where you are coming from, though. Technology is a heavy influence in students today, and I can agree that they are taking advantage of it. Students do send texts instead of talking face-to-face. Personally, I only text people from across the room if I’m telling them something I wouldn’t want to say aloud. I’m sure the reason is because it’s more enjoyable and entertaining to type out a text than to just say it out loud. However, I can’t speak for everyone.
Great written article, by the way.
