What’s your love language? For some, it describes a concept that describes how people care for each other, but it’s also the title of the newly released song “Love Language” that dropped on May 5 by Tomorrow by Together, or TXT for short. TXT is a South Korean K-pop boy band that formed in 2019 under Big Hit Music Entertainment, and “Love Language” is their 30th single. 

It’s a very heartfelt song with the instrumental being of the Afro-house genre, using instruments such as guitars, basses, drums, synthesizers, strings, and more. They background brings a light and soft mood to the song. In the beginning, the beat is soft and quiet and throughout the song, it becomes more upbeat. With this song, the group can shift to a more contemplative mood, as they offer fans a heartfelt reflection on the themes of communication and connections with one another. 

The lyrics help dive into the challenges of expressing feelings when words fall short.

When the main vocalist & leader of the group, Soobin, sings “Teach me, all about your love language / I wanna speak ‘you’” he helps capture the emotional aspect of the song, which is the desire to understand someone on a deeper connection. The lyrics explore this theme with effectiveness, and their tone of singing helps convey the lines of vulnerability and yearning.

One of the most striking moments to me from the video is the choreography, the dancing seems so intense and fluid for such a slow and chill song. It is very upbeat, but looking at their other songs, it isn’t very surprising to see them do very tough dances. Though, because of how the song is paced and how calm it is, people may not enjoy it as there are people who enjoy the opposite of this style or genre, which is understandable.
