In an announcement on Monday, Stagg welcomed new vice principal, Daniel Vannest, to Stagg administration.
Vannest comes to Stagg with a strong background in educational leadership and student development. He has worked in various educational roles, beginning in Manteca Unified working as an agriculture teacher for 10 years, where his love for the CTE program thrived. He then moved to Weston Ranch, and from there to the Stanislaus County Office of Education where he was a principal for 10 more years.
Being experienced to the schools community, Vannest expressed his enthusiasm for joining Stagg. “I was looking for something to being connected with CTE, be apart of a team, and since being here Mr. Toliver, Miss Torres, Calderon, they all seem to be a great team that im looking forward to really working with.”
English Department Chair Martin Bagnasco has spoken with Vannest and has a positive first impression. “I like him a lot he is very understanding with our kids.”
With Vannest´s track record and passion for education, the school community is optimistic about the future under his leadership.
“As coming in mid year, my main goal is to continue to build a positive culture here on the campus and make it a safe environment for everybody,” Vannest states.
