The Asparagus festival coming back to Stockton. Took place on April 11-13. Celebrating their 39th year in Stockton with a nice eventful festival with food, games, and rides.

Many visitors came across California just for this festival. It was on sunny days with a large rocky venue. The San Joaquin is where events take place such as racetrack and the flea market. It is 252 acres with a large parking lot according to their renting website.
This festival has attracted many people together to have fun and memorable moments. A Stagg student Laura Camacho stated “I went with friends, it was really fun, I liked the fair games and it was a fun hang out.” The festival is one way to make memories with friends, go out and enjoy themselves. Stockton doesn’t get many activities for teenages to go to and this fair is one of those things that people enjoy going to with friends.
This stand was near the train road tracks, they were selling wood carvings. There were many stands around the whole venue. (Veronica Bran)
Such as food, mini figures of yourself, jewelry, etc. At the festival there were cool things to look at such as a train that takes you around the fair, a monster truck you could ride in a small area, many people walking around with friends and family all together.
The nice part was seeing familiar faces I haven’t seen in awhile. This should be an experience all locals, even tourists should attend. Julissa, a junior here in Stagg said “Stockton doesn’t really get too many events here in Stockton, and having more events would give us kids more places to go.” She also says she hadn’t gone in awhile but it’s something that locals know about and attend to gather along with friends. The festival had many people of all ages, it’s something everyone can enjoy.

It’s a fun place to go to with others. There were a total of 10 rides, not all were available but the ride that had the most people attracted to was the scrambler. Lines were a bit long but worth the wait. Most rides are for groups of people which is great for those coming in big groups. However not all rides needed a group. Some were pairs or singles. Overall, people should give the asparagus festival a chance.
