Students from the class of 2026 organized a carwash to raise funds for a range of memorable activities for their senior year.
Nineteen incoming seniors scrub a dub dub over a dozen cars to support future events, including prom, senior sunrise, and sunset, hoping to make each one unforgettable
While things started slowly, by the end, the fundraiser initiative was progressing positively, with approximately 20 cars getting cleaned in the event. Each participant was charged $15 for a wash and $1 for a cup of fresh, cool lemonade, which helped contribute to the overall fundraising goal.

The team was actively engaged from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., demonstrating their commitment to creating special moments for their classmates as they approach their final year of high school. Their enthusiasm and teamwork shine through as they work together to gather support from the community to make their senior year exceptional.
11th grader Araceli Lupian took the lead in organizing the car wash fundraiser. Last year’s junior class worked on a similar fundraiser, and they reported that it was quite successful.

Lupian was inspired by the senior class’s accomplishment. “This car wash is not only a chance to raise funds but also an opportunity for us to come together and strengthen our community spirit,” she said.

Class of 2026 advisor Timothy Barnes says, “We did great. We kept our costs low and had lots of revenue, so that means high profit.”
Stagg Gym teacher Coach Fields got his car washed at the fundraiser, and was satisfied with the results.
“I was really impressed by the attention to detail that they put into it, and I wasn’t expecting it,¨ Fields said, ¨I was just excited to be able to participate and contribute to the cause, and the amazing job that they did, cleaning my vehicle, was just like a bonus.”
