Are you ready to party? If you plan on going to prom, what you need now is the time to get your tickets. The earlier you get them the cheaper they will be, the more you wait the higher the prices will get.
This year prom will be based on a Hollywood theme. Prom will be held on March 26, 2010 at Stockton Golf Country Club. It will start at 7 p.m. and end at 11 p.m.
The tickets are on sale now, if you want to go single it’s 40 dollars. If you plan to go with someone you should buy the 60 dollar ticket.
Nora Rodriguez, senior, says that this year is very important to her and that she can’t miss out on prom, she already has her date to go with. “It took me 3 weeks to find that special dress that I’m going to wear for prom, I really like the dress I bought and hopefully no other girl will have the same dress as me.”
Jessica Herrera, senior, said that she can’t believe that this is her last year in high school and prom is just around the corner. She also says that she already bought her prom dress which cost her around 350 dollars. “It wasn’t as expensive as I thought it would be and plus it’s for prom and I really like it so I bought it, well my mom did.”
As you see, girls will spend up to 500 dollars or more just to buy the dress that they consider is the one for them. Other girls will also buy the dress that they think is the one for them but won’t spend as much money.
Ana Rodriguez, senior, said that it don’t matter how much you spend on the dress as long as you like it and looks good on you then it’s all good.
“I’m really looking forward to prom this year, even though I went to the one last year. It was real fun but I expect to have more fun this year” said Omar Sanchez, senior. He also said that since this is his last year he wants to go more elegant and that he feels a little bit of stress. “I have to buy the corsage and boutonniere, have to pay for the pictures, dinner, the tickets and I have to buy my suit, which is a lot of money.”
Not all guys are ready for prom; some already know what they’re going to wear but others are still waiting for their couple to choose the color to wear. Oscar Corria, senior, said “I still don’t know what I’m going to wear, money comes and goes, so It really doesn’t matter how much I spend as long as it’s worth it and I have a good time. ”
“I’m kind of excited to go to prom, since this is my first school dance that I attend to, but at the same time I’m not because I don’t know how to dance. All I care about is receiving my diploma”, said Corria.
So now it’s up to you. Do you want to go to prom, party, and spend time with your friends or miss out on this memorable event? Don’t take a long time thinking for an answer because the tickets could get sold out and you’ll be left out.
