Facebook is a social networking site that lets you interact with friends, family and even people across the world. Facebook is to stay in touch with close friends or even meet new people. In July of 2010, Facebook has had over 500 million users.
Facebook has all kinds of different users. Some are there to keep in touch with old friends while others are on for companionship or to keep in touch with family members. In 2004, Facebook was created by some college students at Harvard. Mark Zuckerberg was one of the creators.
Senior Joseph Dolihite says Facebook is fun because he gets to meet new people and keep in touch with close friends, but he also says that Facebook attracts different kinds of people good and bad. The thing he hates about Facebook is that too many people are addicted to it.
Though the creator Mark Zuckerberg was charged by Harvard administration for hacking into their network and for copy rights, in 2009 Facebook was ranked as the most used social networking site worldwide. Facebook was first created just for college campus then expanded globally. Now it’s for everyone!

I love Facebook! I never would’ve admitted it in the past because I thought about my experiences with MySpace, but I’m really glad I registered. It was purely on impulse too; I was just browsing the internets and just decided suddenly to create a Facebook. That was in November of 2010 I think. Since then, I’ve probably posted over 4000 status messages. X_X
It’s useful too, because I can get news from bands. Like if they’re touring, releasing a single, or something like that. I usually log on to look at my Vampire Wars app, check notifications, and head out.
Well written article. Great job dude.
