Darren Aronofskys is a very interesting and creative writer, especially when it came to the movie Black Swan, released on December 3, 2010. Black Swan got an excellent review – four and a half stars. The movie stars Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, and Vincent Cassel. Natalie plays Nina Sayers. The movie is so suspenseful and a beautiful nightmare, that it will give you the creeps and keep you in suspense during the movie.

The movie is about Nina Sayers, a ballerina in New York City. Sayers lives with her mother, a former ballerina, and she is very controlling and protective over Nina. Nina is a very quiet and sort of a push over to everybody. She’s too scared to speak up for what she wants. Sayers is the first choice in the production Swan Lake, until a new dancer impressed the director as well. The director in the movie, Thomas Leroy wanted someone to play the black swan and the white swan which is a part of the production swan lake. Nina’s competition, Lily comes in and tries to steal the part away from Nina.

Nina starts to get really obsessed with being perfect at being the black swan that it starts to break her down and plays tricks with her mind. Towards the end of the movie Nina and Lily start to get really competitive and Nina starts to take the lead role a little too seriously.
