Marvel rivals was a game officially launched on December 6, 2024. Marvel Rivals is a 6 v 6 hero short game that involves Marvel characters. Its first ever update brought us the Fantastic Four bringing Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic for the first half of the first patch 1-10-2025. Now bringing us the Human Torch and The Thing for the second half of the patch 2-21-2025. 

Sue Storm aka Invisible Woman is a strategist who has piercing healing and a lot of survivability because of the amount of abilities she has. One of her abilities, Force Physics, lets her push or pull away

people. Her passive lets her go invisible when she is not in combat and stops being attacked. She also heals while being invisible.

Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic has ranged melee attacks reaching 15 meters. All of his attacks are ranged except one of them, Reflexive Rubber, making him able to absorb 300 damage and reflect it back. His passive allows him to get a lot of health, basically becoming a tank, which only activates when he reaches certain damage.

One of the newer characters, Johnny Storm aka Human Torch, is a flying character and his attack works like a shotgun.

One of his moves lets him fly faster. His attack Blazing Blast and Pyro-prison are kind of in sync with each other because he has to shoot fireballs then once they land on the ground his other move lets him connect them making a fire wall. It depends on where you put the fireballs so it could take on different shapes. His last move lets him dive down into the ground doing a lot of knockback. His ultimate ability called “Supernova” changes his primary attack to tornadoes. He has a team up with Storm when they both have their ultimate Storm could absorb the Human 

Torch tornadoes let her ultimate do more damage and last longer.

The other character Ben Grimm aka The Thing, is a vanguard when left clicking instead of punching once you punch twice. Stone Haymaker is an attack that you could use almost instantaneously that has piercing and a range of 15 meters. He is a rush move called Yancy Street Charge and when finished you slam the ground doing tick damage. His final move called Embatted Leap lets him jump to an ally and let them take reduced damage. His ultimate ability is called “Clobberin’ Time” it slams the ground knocking enemies up stunning them. 

Now the final thing of this update is a new map and then changing the meta a little. They are nerfing the rate that the main healers get their ultimate. The main healers are considered Luna Snow, Cloak and Dagger, and Invisible Woman. Making it so that the game feels more fast paced. They teased Blades character design on the map and toward the end of a trailer.
